A quick look...
Since you know we've moved - thought you might want to see what our morning view from our dining room looks like. We'll put up more of the house soon...but this pretty much says it all.

We're moved!
Yeah, everything went "for the most part" as planned and we are officially in the new place. Kurt spent Friday night taking a load down with 4 friends and he got home very late. Saturday morning our church helped us move and all was complete by 2:00 pm. Not too bad. It did snow in the morning and it was a pretty cold and yucky day, but it all worked out. So, this week has been unpacking, moving furniture, finding treasures we haven't seen in two years since most of our stuff was in the storage unit. And, of course, taking a lot of stuff to goodwill after realizing we really don't need it or want it anymore. Thankfully both Kurt and I love to "dejunk" so we are really trying to declutter.
Thanks for all of your prayers as we moved. We really like where we are living now. The neighborhood is an older one, so it is very established with trees and very friendly people. We have a great view of the mountains, although some of our trees get in the way, but I shouldn't complain about that. We have a park just around the corner that we can walk to which is always full, so we're excited to start meeting some of these people. Our commute to work got cut in half, from 60 minutes to about 20 min on a good day. We have a fenced in backyard, so Haven loves to go outside by herself. Well, we'll try to post pictures soon so you can get an idea of what we're talking about.
Have a great weekend.

Update from the Aichele's
Well, I haven't posted in awhile, because we are very busy here......getting ready to move. Yes, we will be moving into town this Friday and Saturday, so this whole week we have been packing and taking care of all of those fun loose ends. It has been very interesting packing w/ a 14 month old. Thankfully, Kurt has been able to wear the baby backpack and carry him while packing, so that has helped tremendously. I'll have to post some pictures of that, because it is really cute. Anyways, please pray for safety as we move and that everything goes as planned. We'll send everyone our new address soon.

Updates
Well, it has been awhile since we posted. Kurt was gone two weeks in a row, so that was very challenging on me. We made it though and Silas was so excited to see his daddy. So excited that when Kurt left for work today, he had a meltdown. He definitely loves his daddy.
I wanted to attach a few pictures that I thought were really cute. Silas got his first balloon last weekend and he absolutely loves them. He wouldn't let it go, so much that as you can see in the picture, he fell asleep holding onto it. We had to get rid of it while he wasn't looking. He hasn't gotten the concept that it can pop if you hold onto it too tight. But it was fun to see him play with it. The other picture is us hiking this weekend. We had beautiful weather and so we took advantage of it. Silas loves this little backpack that we have. We actually have to hide it so he can't see it when we're not using it, otherwise he just points at it and wants to go for a walk. I think we have an outdoors child on our hands, which is a very good thing, since we'll probably hike almost every weekend this year.
Anyways, I hope you enjoy!

a week in Louisville
Sheila mentioned that I am away in Louisville for a ministry conference. It is entitled Together for the Gospel, or T4G for short. I am so thankful that Sheila is willing to sacrifice and serve the church by allowing me to opportunity to be gone. The schedule is rather grueling...from 7:10 a.m. until well after midnight each night. However, I trust that the messages we are listening to and the different opportunities for discussion will bear much fruit in the lives of those at Hope Chapel.
One of the most exciting parts of the conference is that there are over 5000 men here, with a handful (relatively) of women, who are here for the sake of the Gospel. May denominational lines are crossed, and there is a distinct unity that exists between us. It is encouraging, not to mention that they give us books...probably 11 or 12 over the course of the week. Here's a photo from the middle of the conference center to give an idea of how large this actually is...
While it is an exciting opportunity , I do look forward to returning home to Sheila and Silas on Friday evening, as it is difficult to be away. TO find out more about the conference, go to www.t4g.org
